It was boiling hot so I decided to head to Holland Park in West London. I was inspired by the banana trees there, it felt like a little bit of Africa in London which made me very happy…very reminiscent of my old Limbe house in Malawi. I fell in love with the skirt because of the lace which is great for hot weather, plus the neutral colour means it can be worn with almost anything. It is very girly, light and airy which is essential as London has turned up the heat boy! The top is one of my favourites with it’s pastel and sequined accents. It’s actually a lot heavier than it looks but not too hot for a summer’s day. Both pieces are adaptable and work with a lot of stuff in my wardrobe from casual to dressy. I’m looking forward to pairing the top with some jeans I recently got from www.topshop.co.uk and will post the pics soon.
